Paihia Night Markets - Street Food Thursdays

We are a stubborn bunch around here. We're back! Did you miss us? Take three has the Street Food Markets setting up in Horotutu on Thursday evenings from 5 til 9pm starting on the 5th of October 2017.

We have loved hosting the Street Food Market & have asked Far North Holdings Ltd & Far North District Council if they will consider allowing the Street Food Market to set up on the green space in front of 35 Degrees South & Alongside (the seaward side of Horotutu.). And they said YES!!!

Which means our awesome bunch of Street Foodies are back along with some exciting new additions. Grab the family, friends, picnic blanket and come join us for a night full of great eats, funky tunes and the best vibe our fantastic little community can provide down here by the seaside.

Bring your own picnic blanket or seats and relax in the park while the kids race around or take your street eats into Alonsgide & make yourself comfy on our seats for a glass or wine or a cold beer.

Our menus have all been designed to complement the superb location and views over the bay. We serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We are lucky enough to have our fish line caught by local fisherman here in Northland and have it delivered fresh daily ensuring our catch of the day is fresh and tasty.

Who will you see at the market?

The Fritter Shack

Try a mussel fritter or maybe a prawn one. Put together by a couple of fabulous locals Jackie & Lynn. You will probably spot their cute wee dog, Bear hanging out by the caravan most Fridays. If you are really lucky you might get a chance to try some fry bread, it's just too too good.

The Fat Pig

Russell local Patrick is taking his time slow roasting his pulled pork ready to serve to you each Friday evening. With homemade BBQ sauce (with a teeny tiny kick) it's a bun fit for the biggest of appetites.

Whitegold

Husband & wife team, Logan & Mirielle are responsible for their product from harvest to bbq to your plate. With a stand in Haast where they catch the whitebait over the ten week season. Returning to the Bay of Islands they then prepare this into a whitebait fritter ready for your dinner next time you visit us at Alongside in Paihia.

Mr Taco

Another of our family teams, Ron & Theresa or should we say Mr & Mrs Taco are serving up authentic tacos and burritos each and every Friday. Their ethos is tasty and affordable street food for the whole Familia!
